Peter Wolfers, Chairman

Peter is a founder partner of FirstVentures, established in 2005 and was previously a founder director in 2000 of FNI Venture Capital, the venture capital fund of the Nixdorf family. Before this Peter was VP Marketing for Incases, a German EDA company, and his earlier career encompassed various senior strategic marketing and technical roles with IBM and Lockheed. Peter is currently a board director of Ranier and Intense and a board observer at Antenova.

Alex Bligh, non-Exec Director

Alex is a serial entrepreneur who has founded or co-founded several successful technology businesses, including Nominet UK (the UK internet domain registry) and Redbus Interhouse (a colocation provider). He is also an active private investor and has served on the board of several companies, predominantly in the internet sector. Previously, Alex served as CTO for XO Communications Europe and GX Networks.

Tony Lucas, CEO

Tony is CEO of xcalibre Communications Ltd., the managed hosting company that he founded in 1997 while still at college. Back in 2004 Tony decided that what the world really needed was a proper utility computing infrastructure, so he and his team at xcalibre created FlexiScale. These days much of Tony’s time is taken up networking and evangelising about his new product in Europe and the US.

Philipp Huber, COO and acting CTO

Philipp is xcalibre's COO and acting CTO. Prior to working for xcalibre, he ran his own IT consultancy in Switzerland and held senior IT roles in global blue-chips like HP, Motorola and the Royal Bank of Scotland. Phil’s in-depth experience of small and very large companies and prior work in the fields of IT architecture and operations had a major impact on the product design for FlexiScale.

Pam Lucas, Sales & Finance Director

Pam Lucas, Sales & Finance Director is a co-founder of xcalibre and has extensive experience in management and company operations including implementation of new technologies and processes for a wide range of companies, she has been instrumental in setting the company’s high standards for customer service & support. Pam runs the commercial arm, including the accounts & sales departments.
