So this is the helpful level of customer support after my servers being down for two days again and now they admit that they have totally lost the servers configuration and I have to start from scratch. Needless to say this will be the last time I ever rebuild a server on the flexiscale platform.

"Hi Ross,

I'm afraid we couldn't recover 1473 but I've attached its disks to the server 2917 in your account. Let us know if you need anything further.

So I am still waiting for my servers to come back on, I'm not looking forward to this now, will my administrator of them be phoning to tell me that after days of outage again they won't be coming back. I will also not be impressed if I receive an email saying, in effect, we have let you down again, your time and money has been wasted again, your business has suffered again but if your business does need anymore of our "help" then:

"Let us know if you need anything further"

The old saying "with friends like these who needs enemies" springs to mind, serious consideration will have to be given to our future commitment to a failing service which has proven itself unable to be robust, reliable, dependable or provide a level of service anywhere close to what is needed and offered by others on many occasions.

If only the articles which are now prevalent upon sites like the register were accessible when the business decision to move into Flexiscale was debated I know I would not be looking at emails from my understandably upset customers, thankfully now they are. I hope this will save others the problems and negative effects upon their business we have experienced.

James/Ross,

The loss of any individual server is a major issue for us, and something we strive to avoid. In each and every case we work on a server to try and recover it, but it has unfortunately been the case in some circumstances that we have been unable to.

I will be putting a post in the announcements forum shortly in regards to what we are doing as a result of these issues.

Regards,
