Hi,
We are looking at moving our hosting environment from our current 'static' setup into something more elastic/dynamic, whereby we can start/stop portions of our setup easily to allow us to dynamically scale.
Currently we have 2 appservers and a DB server (entire system replicated twice), but we want to scale up the number of appservers to achieve a greater level of redundancy and scalability for our J2EE application.
Your environment looks idea - but I'm concerned about the DB side of things - currently we are using Dual Processor - Quad-Core machines with 16Gb RAM running Windows 2003 and DB2 9.1. Your largest configuration is for a machine with only 2Gb RAM, which obviously wouldn't be enough.
Do you have any other images that would be more suited to a DB server or do you have any thoughts as to whether you solution would be suitable for us?
Thanks
Chris
