Creating a Server Image

Hi,

The feature list on the website alludes to ability to "Clone a server image and re-use for another test or production server".

I'm struggling to find any documentation on it though. Can anyone give me any pointers?

Hi Andy,

My apologies for the delay in getting back to you, this is something that can be done manually upon request for you at present and will be released into the control panel and API in due course.

You will be able to create a "golden image" and then provision new servers from that image so that when they boot they are an exact copy.

At present we will need to provision the new servers for you but this will also be available shortly in the control panel and via the API.

We recommend that servers are off when making a golden image as if they are not this can cause corruption and data integrity issues.
